Do you feel like your life is a roller coaster and you can't seem to get off?  Sometimes life can be overwhelming and difficult.  There are times when we all need someone to come alongside to help with the difficulties we face each day.  If you are struggling, feeling like you are about to go under, I can help navigate uncharted waters to get some breathing room so you can begin to thrive again.

I actively integrate Christian principles with Cognitive Behavior theory, identifying thoughts and feelings that are interconnected which drives behavior.  I also look at the family system, both currently and past, with the idea that we all contribute to the difficulties we face.  We co-create the dance we engage in.  I can help you sort that out.

My passion is working with couples to help them discover what God meant marriage to be this side of heaven.  It is possible even after affairs, betrayals, and years of misunderstandings, to regroup and get past those painful years, if each partner is willing to do the hard work.  Each individual brings patterns of behavior and a relational style learned in their family of origin to their current intimate relationships.  My desire is to help you gain insight and identify those patterns that are actively affecting your current life choices and relationships.

I am a certified EMDR Therapist (Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing).  This protocol addresses past painful memories causing interference in current relationships.  This is when past painful memories show up in the present.  Desensitizing those painful memories with EMDR can remove the sting out of current events that trigger those past unhealed memories. EMDR has been approved by the DoD and works well for resolving trauma from serving our country. My husband was a 100% Disabled Viet Nam Veteran..  For more information about EMDR check out (www.emdria.org).

Don't continue to carry hurt, and pain from the past. If you are a Veteran, give me a call.

Quotes:

Forgiving someone of the pain and hurt they may have caused, does not make the act okay or release them from the responsibility of their actions..  It does; however, free you to let go of the past and live fully in the present, and journey well into the future.
